Services

Horizon Veterinary Internal Medicine offers ultrasound services, including thoracic, abdominal, and cervical ultrasound.  Cardiac ultrasound is not available at this time.  We offer reasonable pricing for both initial ultrasound consultation and follow-up ultrasound consultation if needed.  All patients should be fasted if at all possible and have a full bladder for optimal examination of all organ systems.  Although sedation is not typically required for ultrasound examination, some patients are less tolerant of positioning and restraint for ultrasound, therefore the decision to use sedation is left to the discretion of the primary care veterinarian.  Findings and recommendations for further diagnostics and treatment will be discussed at the time of the ultrasound exam.
